MT Republicans are split over a possible mail-only ballot election to replace Ryan Zinke.
Gov. Bullock has called for a special election on May 25 to replace Ryan Zinke in MT's lone seat in the U.S. House. The election may cost nearly $2 million but county election officials don't have money budgeted. A bill to make it a mail ballot election and save nearly $1 million has passed the state Senate but faces opposition in the House from Republican leadership and the party's chairman.
