And to know that people care about it and that we're getting to sing to them here means the absolute world.
I told myself that if I did write songs, I wanted to be that person people listen to that got them through whatever they were going through and whatever situation that might be.
And I'm grateful because I have done that.
I've made a lot of my dreams come true, and that's one of the biggest ones is being -- is being there for people.
And I've been a lot of -- a part of a lot of people's lives, even though I wasn't right there next to them, and that's the coolest part about music.
There for a while, all I did was chase this dream down, and that's what you got to do at times.
But now that I'm here, I just want to be a better person for my family and my friends.
I've seen that story play out so many times, where you try so hard to make it out and you never do.
But for me, nowadays, it's like I tried so hard to leave Oklahoma and get out.
You know, everyone's got that -- that mentality.
But I've been everywhere, and now I'm fighting every chance that I can to get back home.
