Complaints have been raised over proposals for redrawing ward boundaries

When it comes to redistricting, the census-tied redrawing of voting maps, you mostly hear about congressional maps. But on the local level, across most of the state's cities and towns, local redistricting commissions are giving ward maps the once-over in order to ensure equal population among local voting districts. In Jersey City, the updating of ward lines is a cause for controversy.
