Blue Death

Blue Death

Seasonal viruses were common in Montana, but in 1918, a far more dangerous plague swept the land. Adults in their prime would be stricken with inflammation of the lungs, heart, or brain. There was no vaccine, and people would die gasping for air. Six Montanans tell their stories of how they survived this crisis. From a Finnish immigrant to a Blackfoot couple, witness the power of fear and courage.
